  • Why shouldn’t I use a tumble dryer?
The heat and mechanical strain in a tumble dryer break down elasticity, fit, and fabric, both in underwear and swimwear. Air drying is much gentler on the garment.Few readers
  • Why can I feel the elastic threads in the fabric?
The garment is made from a fine, delicate fabric. To extend its lifespan and prevent the elastic threads from working their way through the fabric, we recommend hand washing the garment. It’s the best method for maintaining the garment’s durability and lifespan. Avoid fabric softener and don’t wash too hot, that way you’re taking the best possible care of it.Few readers
  • How do I store my bras so they last longer?
Never scrunch them up in a drawer. Instead, store them lying flat with the cups nested inside each other, or hanging up, that way they keep their shape longer.Few readers
  • How do I wash my bra correctly?
Always use a wash bag and fasten the bra’s hooks at the back before washing, so the hooks don’t snag on anything. If the bra has an underwire or padding, it’s best washed by hand or on the machine’s hand-wash programme. Avoid fabric softener and tumble drying, and air dry it instead. Read all our advice in Washing and Care Tips.Few readers
  • What is Cool & Dry fabric and what are its benefits?
Cool & Dry is our functional fabric that draws moisture away from the skin and gives a cool, dry feeling. It breathes well, reduces chafing and irritation, and is especially good for exercise, warm days, or during perimenopause and menopause when your body’s temperature regulation can feel unpredictable. • What is a minimizer bra and when should I use it?
It distributes the bust evenly instead of lifting and shaping at the front, which gives a slimmer profile under clothes. It’s especially good for a large bust, since the volume is spread over a larger area instead of being pressed together, giving a more even silhouette without feeling restrictive. A good choice if you want shirts to close without gaping, or dresses to fall more evenly.Few readers
  • What does the OEKO-TEX certification mean for me as a customer?
It means the entire garment, from fabric to thread and fastenings, has been tested against over 100 strict criteria to be free from harmful substances. The testing is carried out independently by RISE, so you can trust that our bras and briefs meet the same high standard every time.Few readers
  • Can I machine wash my underwear, or should it be hand washed?
It depends on the garment. Underwired or padded bras are best hand washed, while briefs and camisoles/tops can be machine washed at a maximum of 40 degrees. Swimwear should always be hand washed, chlorine and salt water are otherwise harder on the fabric.Few readers
  • How do I know my sports bra is worn out?
If the support no longer feels as stable, the straps don’t offer the same resistance, or the fabric feels stretched out, it’s time for a new one. With use 2 to 3 times a week, a sports bra usually lasts 6 to 12 months.Few readers
  • What is Modal and why does Swegmark use it?
Modal is a semi-synthetic fabric made from beech tree cellulose, softer, stronger, and more shape-retaining than regular viscose. It breathes well, absorbs 50 percent more moisture than cotton, and is gentle on skin that’s become more sensitive over the years. Read more in the Modal Guide.Few readers
  • Why does my bra lose its shape after washing?
The most common causes are fabric softener or tumble drying, both break down the elasticity in the fabric. Storage matters too, a bra left scrunched up in a drawer more easily loses its cup shape. Avoid fabric softener and tumble drying, and air dry the bra instead.Few readers
  • Are Swegmark’s fabrics gentle on sensitive skin?
Yes. Fabrics like Modal and Cool & Dry are developed to reduce friction and chafing, which is especially important if your skin has become more sensitive over the years or due to hormonal changes. On top of that, our fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified and tested free from harmful substances.Few readers
