Why does my bra lose its shape after washing?

The most common causes are fabric softener or tumble drying, both break down the elasticity in the fabric. Storage matters too, a bra left scrunched up in a drawer more easily loses its cup shape. Avoid fabric softener and tumble drying, and air dry the bra instead.
