Why does the circumference differ between two sports bras in the same size?

Our sports bras come in different support levels, and the fabric gets firmer the higher the support level is. An extreme support style is made from a firmer fabric with less stretch to give maximum support during high-intensity training, which can make it feel smaller than a style with a lower support level and more stretch in the fabric, even though both are labelled the same size. The difference lies in the fabric's properties, not in the size measurement itself.
