# The centre gore doesn’t sit flat against my breastbone, what does that mean?

If the section between the cups stands away from the body instead of lying flat against your breastbone, the cups are probably too small, or the style doesn’t quite suit your breast shape. Try a larger cup size and keep the same band size if it feels stable, and make sure all the breast tissue is actually inside the cup before you judge the fit. In softer styles, such as bralettes or some deep-cut styles, the centre gore rarely lies completely flat, and that’s normal.
